In 1941, cartoonist-brothers Max and Dave Fleischer launched their most ambitious project to date, the very elaborate and expensive Superman cartoon series for Paramount Studios. A total of 17 in all, they featured great animation and taut, fast-moving plots. The recognizable voices of Bud Collyer and Joan Alexander are featured as Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane.

Also included in this 3-DVD boxed set are 3 hilarious Max and Dave Fleischer Popeye the Sailor Man cartoons from the late 1930s, plus 4 other Fleischer cartoons, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from 1944.
